Putting DEAD WORDS to rest.........
Woodlawn's 3rd Grade students decided it was time to put some DEAD WORDS to rest. The 3rd graders hosted a funeral in which they bidded a final farewell to words that have been overused in their writing. Students used different resources to help find more exciting and ALIVE words to replace them with. The funeral was complete with tombstones, caskets, flowers, and student written eulogies. The
funeral officiant was none other than our principal, Mrs. Bowers, who was also sad to see the words go! Rest in Peace DEAD WORDS...you'll never be forgotten or missed.
