Alex and McKaylah
Alex and Aiden
Whoo hoo! I am excited to announce that our class has received two county grants. The first isΒ a Reading grant ($1,057.86) for nonfiction books and magazines for the classroom. We will get about 200 books, and the magazines we will be receiving on a monthly basis are American Girl, Zoobooks, Highlights, National Geographic for Kids, Sports Illustrated for Kids, and Kids Discover.
The second was a STEM grant ($993.20) for science education. Β We will get all kinds of exciting and challenging science materials, including a Chaos Rube Goldberg Tower, Geyser Rocket Car, Lightning Plasma Ball, Renewable Energy and Alternate Sources Power House, Ultimate Dry Ice Science Kit, Polymer Science Kit, Pink Snow and Other Weird Weather Kit, Live Butterfly Kit, and four Snap Circuit Physics Kits.
Does it work?
Let's try it!
It worked, especially on Aiden:)
McKaylah the Magnificent
McKaylah found the "missing piece" of a Story with Holes, and is our first "Queen".
Alex the Astounding
Alex found the "missing piece" of a Story with Holes, and is our first "King".
Mrs. Vretta with her friend, Mrs. Dickens, and Nathan Levy.
Mr. Levy is a famous author who writes the "Stories with Holes" series, which are logic stories that challenge children's critical and creative thinking skills.
Our Rube Goldbergs
A Rube Goldberg machine is a deliberately over-engineered or overdone machine that performs a very simple task in a very complex fashion, usually including a chain reaction. You have probably seen this concept in the game "Mousetrap."
