ABOUT THE PROGRAM ·~Groups available for all Middle School students in Highlands County ·~No fees.
All materials and supplies are provided at no cost to participants. ·~Go Girls promotes healthy choices. This program provides education on the benefits of avoiding risky behaviors, as well as addressing peer pressure, self-confidence, body image, and other related topics teen girls may be facing. ·~Go Girls uses engaging, activity based curriculum. ·~Go Girls is independent from the School Board of Highlands County. ·~Meetings are hosted at LPMS in Room 315 on Mondays from 3:10 till 4:30 p.m starting October 15th and continuing through
the school year. ·~All girls have the opportunity to participate in community service activities. ·~After graduating, girls may continue to be active in the program by mentoring new girls, helping with activities in future classes and learning more advanced life skills.
Go Girls is facilitated by the Heartland Rural Health Network, Inc. and the Highlands County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Alliance (TPPA).
