Lake Placid Middle School students were all smiles when local attorney, Pam Karlson spent the afternoon leading 146, 7th grade civics’ students in a scavenger hunt through the US. Constitution. Mrs. Karlson volunteered to give the presentations in honor of Constitution Day, which commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men on September 17, 1787, recognizing all who, are born in the U.S. or by naturalization, have become citizens. The students who participated received individual pocket constitutions which will help guide them in their civics studies this year.
