Each year a committee of parents, teachers, and other interested citizens are appointed to provide advice and counsel to the administration. It will also be the responsibility of the organization to help in the development of the annual school improvement plan.
Members are elected from a list of nominees who are willing to participate. The School Advisory Committee (SAC) focuses on issues that enhance student achievement, classroom instruction, parental involvement, and making changes in general for the benefit of all our students at Lake Placid Elementary. They meet the fourth Monday of the month, October through May at 2:30 in the media center.
A parent member from our SAC committee is selected each year to represent the school at the District School Advisory Committee (DSAC).
